7 retire from Southwestern ___FORT WORTH (BP)--Seven long-tenured faculty members and administrators took formal retirement from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary this spring: ___ Bill Tolar, distinguished professor of biblical backgrounds, who also served as dean of the school of theology, vice president for academic affairs, provost and acting president. He taught at Baylor University before coming to Southwestern in 1965. ___ C.W. Brister, distinguished professor of pastoral care and coordinator for the Center for Ministry Empowerment, who served under four seminary presidents beginning with J. Howard Williams in 1957. ___ Hazel Morris, associate professor of childhood education, who taught at Southwestern since 1971. ___ C.L. Bass, distinguished professor of music theory and composition, who was elected to the faculty in 1977. ___ Jerry Privette, professor of educational ministries and field education, who came to Southwestern in 1980. ___ Scotty Gray, vice president for academic administration and former professor of church music, who joined the seminary staff in 1966. ___ Lawrence Klempnauer, vice president for student services for 20 years.
