___ Heflin joins Logsdon faculty. James Heflin has been appointed professor of preaching and pastoral ministry at Hardin-Simmons University's Logsdon School of Theology. He currently serves as general secretary of the European Baptist
___Convention. Heflin earned the doctor of theology degree and master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he later taught. He also taught at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.___?
___ HSU names enrollment staff. Three Hardin-Simmons University officials working in enrollment services have been promoted to new positions. Faye Dodson has been promoted to director of financial aid. Stacey Martin has been promoted to director of admissions and recruiting. Leianne McMillan has been promoted to coordinator of special events.
___ Moore leaves Baylor. Steven Moore has resigned as vice president for student life at Baylor University to become senior vice president at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. He also will hold a presidential fellowship with the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Eileen Hulme, assistant vice president for student life, will become acting vice president.
___ Baylor names Tolbert. Patricia Tolbert has been named assistant vice president for university relations at Baylor University, a newly created position. She previously was an administrator and professor at Louisiana State University and Florida State University. In related moves, Baylor Associate Vice President for Communications Larry Brumley has been given an expanded portfolio, including church relations, government relations and youth programs. Diana Ramey, director of admission services, has been named assistant vice president for enrollment management.
___ Marketplace Ministries names leader. Larry Wright of Memphis, Tenn., has been named chief operating officer of Marketplace Ministries, a Dallas-based provider of corporate chaplains founded by Baptist pastor Gil Stricklin. Stricklin will continue as the company's president. Wright, 59, is former president of the Piggly-Wiggly grocery chain.
___ Texans graduate from BTSR. Three Texans were among spring graduates of Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Va. Darryl Waverly Jefferson of Angleton, Laura Ann Mannes of Dallas and Andrew Mills Tyler of Houston all received the master of divinity degree.
