___ First Church in Georgetown will sponsor a GraceLife Conference Sept. 6-8. Conference topics include The Nature of the Flesh; The Exchanged Life; Journey to the Cross; The Believer's Identity; The Believer's Victory; and Living the Exchanged Life. Sessions will be led by Jody Unruh, director of Hyde Park Counseling Center in Austin, and will be assisted by Dennis Leedom, coordinator of First Church in Georgetown's Family Care Ministry. ___ Charles Clary, June 24, as pastor of Tate Springs Church in Arlington for more than 27 years. The Clarys' retirement address will be P.O. Box 327, Ruidoso, N.M. 88355.
___ Jim Ward, after 34 years as pastor of Temple Church in York, Pa. Ward and his wife, Ruth, were instrumental in forming the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania/South Jersey in 1970. He was president of the convention and served on both the executive and administrative boards of the convention that now includes 325 churches. Prior to going to Pennsylvania, he was associate pastor of Retta Church in Burleson and pastor of Travis Church, between Lott and Rosebud. He served Verhalen Mission in Pecos 1960-64.

___ Sammy Garcia, 10th, as pastor of Iglesia Camino Real in Denison.
___ Kerry Woods, 10th, as minister of music and education at First Church in Childress June 3.
___ Douglass and Annabelle Grissom, 25th, at Twin Cities Church in Sherman. He has been pastor and she the musician.
___ Harvey McMurry, 20th, as pastor of City View Church in Wichita Falls July 1.
___ First Church in Highlands, 75th, July 28-29. Saturday will be a time of fellowship and singing, and former members are invited to participate. Sunday will be the culmination of a year-long jubilee celebration in which the history of the church has been celebrated with a focus on a different decade each month. Former staff members will be honored, and guest singers will perform. Lunch and a special program will follow the service.

___Deaths
___ Jerry O'Neal, 68, June 5 in Orange. O'Neal was a minister of music for 37 years, including 13 years at Nassau Bay Church in Houston and 15 years at a Baton Rouge, La., church. From 1962 to 1964, he was minister of music and education at East Dallas Church in Dallas. He had been a member of the Singing Men of Southeast Texas since 1979 and is a past president. He is survived by his wife, Carole; sons, Jeff, Greg and Patrick; sister, Janet Andress; and five grandchildren.
___ T.R. Wagstaff, 91, June 10 in Huntsville. As a young man, he sang with the Stamps Quartet, and throughout his life he sang and wrote music. He began his ministry by serving as music minister at Melwood Church in Brownwood. He was ordained there and later became pastor of First Church in Early. He served in Arizona for two years before returning to Texas to be pastor of First Church in Madisonville. He later served First Church in El Campo and Rittenhouse Church in North Houston. In 1958, he returned to First Church in Madisonville and retired there in 1974. At the time of his death, he was residing in Huntsville and was a member of Cook Springs Church. He was preceded in death by five of his brothers and sisters and his wife, Pearl, who died May 24. He is survived by his sons, Richard and Robert; daughter, Mary Carden; brother, Robert; sisters, Bonnie Myers and Oneta Hannah; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
___ Ed Sanders, 70, June 17 in Broken Arrow, Okla. Sanders and his wife, Jaletta, were appointed as Southern Baptist missionaries to Indonesia in 1959. In 1972, he was selected to lead Southern Baptist work in that country. While he was in that position, revival swept that nation, and more that 2 million people were baptized in churches of all denominations, and Baptists quadrupled in number. Prior to his missionary appointment, he was pastor of Denman Avenue Church in Lufkin, Valley View Church in Nocona and Woodford Church in Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Jana Seaborn and Jennifer Townsend; son, Stephen; and nine grandchildren.
