Five Texas couples to serve as NAMB missionaries
___ALPHARETTA, Ga.--Five missionary couples with ties to Texas have been appointed recently by the North American Mission Board.
___Eliseo and Alicia Aldape serve as missionaries in Dallas. He is a national church-

planting missionary, working with NAMB in helping start Hispanic congregations. Aldape, a Crystal City native, most recently has been director of ethnic work for the Colorado Baptist General Convention. Previously he served 17 years as Sunday School/discipleship consultant for the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He also served as pastor of churches in Lubbock, Austin, Corsicana, El Campo and Ganado. Aldape was president and vice president of the Mexican Baptist Convention of Texas and president of the Hispanic Baptist Fellowship. Mrs. Aldape is a Laredo native. She is a former appointed home missionary. She has been a Sunday School teacher and has been active with Woman's Missionary Union.
___John and Barbara Lewis serve as church-planting missionaries in Denver, Colo. Lewis is a church-planter strategist working to start congregations in communities surrounding Denver. Lewis is a Texas native. He has been director of multifamily housing for the Denver Baptist Association.

Mrs. Lewis has worked as a secretary/teach-er/curriculum coordinator for First Baptist Church of Houston.
___Gerald and Cheryl Roe serve as associational missionaries in Worcester, Mass., where he is director of missions for the Massachusetts Baptist Association. Both of them grew up in Houston. He most recently served as an evangelist with the Henry Roe Evangelistic Association in Frankfort, Ky. Previously he served as pastor of churches in Kentucky, Hawaii and Texas.
___David and Esther Weng serve as missionaries in Akron, Ohio, where he is pastor/director of Central Baptist Mission Center. Weng most recently served as minister of missions for Southwest Ministries in Fort Worth. Previously he served on two church staffs and served 10 years as a missionary with the International Mission Board in Seoul, Korea.
___Stanley and Trina Williams serve as collegiate evangelism missionaries in Chicago. Williams has been minister of youth, education and evangelism for First Baptist Church of University Park, Ill., since 1995. Previously he served as a minister of youth and children at Greater Corinth Baptist Church in San Antonio and First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. He also has served as a part-time Baptist Student Union director for the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
