NAMB taps nine with Texas ties
___ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Nine missionaries with ties to Texas have been appointed recently by the North American Mission Board.
___Dallas and Rebecca Bivins serve as missionaries in Anchorage, Alaska, where he is a local collegiate evangelism missionary. Most recently he was regional director for College Resource Management in Dallas. Previously he served as pastor, teaching pastor and youth pastor of churches in Texas and Wisconsin, and as a Baptist Student Union director in Dallas and San Diego, Calif. He also has served as a high school and college football coach in Texas, Tennessee and Arizona. She most recently was an enrollment counselor for College Resource Management in Dallas. Previously she served as a BSU director, youth minister and summer missionary. The Bivinses have two children, Rick, 7; and Cameron, 3.
___Melissa Camp serves as a multihousing church planting missionary in Odessa. She was appointed under the US/C-2 program, which allows young adults to complete two years of missions service in the United States and Canada.
___Joshua and Ester Del Risco serve as church planting missionaries in Dallas. He will be a national interfaith missionary, helping state conventions, associations and churches start multiplying congregations. The Del Riscos have two children, Andrew, 9, and Timothy, 6.
___Brett and Jennifer Stair serve as missionaries in Hickory Creek, where he is a church planter intern and pastor. He has been minister of pastoral care at Lakeland Baptist Church of Lewisville since 1998 and previously served on the staff of First Baptist Church of Dallas. Mrs. Stair, a Dallas native, previously worked as public relations coordinator for Word Publishing in Dallas, and as a freelance book editor.
___Christopher and Kay Vaughn serve as missionaries in Arlington, where he is a church planter intern and pastor. He previously served as pastor or associate pastor of churches in Rosston and Boyd, Texas. The Vaughns have one daughter, Isabella, 2.
