ETBU choirs take Italy by song
___A Texas Baptist choir brought tears to the eyes of parishioners in a prominent Catholic church in Rome this summer. The Concert Choir of East Texas Baptist University sang during evening mass at Santa Maria Maggiore, one of four churches in Rome directly owned by the Vatican.

___BOERNE--Children's prayers have touched lives throughout Boerne and beyond, reported Bubba Stahl, pastor of First Baptist Church in the Texas Hill Country community.
___At the church, Pastor's Prayer Partners has become a means for children to commit to pray for their church and pastor, as well as their community, state and nation. And they also put feet to their prayers.

Missouri convention in turmoil as committees make sweeping changes

___Fundamentalists who last year gained control of the Missouri Baptist Convention are working quickly to replace trustees of state convention agencies and members of the convention's Executive Board with individuals deemed more loyal to their cause.
___At the same time, efforts are under way to require all Missouri Baptist Convention churches to affirm the new direction of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist Faith & Message.
