___ Texans attend Mexico meeting. Three Hispanic Texas Baptist leaders recently attended the annual meeting of the National Baptist Convention of Mexico to explore ways Baptists in Mexico and Texas can work together. Texas participants included Antonio Estrada of Houston, president of the Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas; Rudy Sanchez of Dallas, chairman of the BGCT Executive Board; and Jimmy Garcia, director of Hispanic work with the BGCT. In addition to bringing fraternal greetings to the convention, the purpose of the meeting was to "dialogue on how Baptist churches on both sides of the border can work together in partnership to reach the millions of Hispanics for Christ, and to determine how Mexican pastors and church leaders can participate more fully at the annual meeting of the Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas, and vice versa," Garcia said.
