___ Evangelism meeting planned. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will offer a "Sharing Christ in the 21st Century" conference Sept. 17-19 on the Fort Worth campus. The evangelism training conference will feature addresses by Ed Young, senior pastor of Fellowship Church in Grapevine; Ron Hutchcraft, a youth and family ministry specialist; Voddie Baucham, associate teaching pastor at Sagemont Baptist Church in Houston; and evangelist Kelly Green. ___ Bass to guide spiritual life. Charles Bass, vice president for student affairs at Dallas Baptist University, has been given additional responsibility as dean of spiritual life.
___ Regional training under way. More than 2,500 Sunday School and discipleship leaders from Baptist churches across Texas received training at 28 regional conventions in early and mid-August, and another 10 conventions were scheduled for Aug. 25. Under the theme "Sunday School and Discipleship: Prescription for a Healthy Church," the regional Sunday School/Discipleship Conventions provided teaching helps for leaders ranging from "What's New in Adult Discipleship" to "Safety and Screening in the Preschool Area."
