___ Builders needed. Additional volunteers are needed to help complete a Vietnamese church facility in Denver begun by the Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders. The Retiree Builders worked for three weeks on the 4,500-square-foot building, in addition to working four weeks in Pagosa Springs, Colo., before moving on to other commitments. African-American Fellowship names officers. New officers of the Texas Baptist African-American Fellowship are President Dennis Young of Missouri City Baptist Church, Vice President H.K. Thomas of New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Littlefield, Secretary Ron Edwards of Minnehulla Baptist Church in Goliad and Treasurer Marvin Delaney of South Park Baptist Church in Houston.

___ LifeWay store to relocate. LifeWay Christian Stores will relocate its southeast Houston store to a new site in the community of Webster Oct. 1. A grand opening celebration is planned for Oct. 13. The store is located at 1513 W. Bay Area Blvd. in the Baybrook Village retail center, situated on the southwest corner of the I-45 and Bay Area Blvd. intersection.
___ Prayers sought for rare case. Doctors have not been able to cure 8-year-old Jeremy Pape's headaches, but the boy is sure the prayers of Texas Baptists can make a difference. Pape is sure prayer will stop his extreme headaches. The boy's grandparents are members of First Baptist Church in Three Rivers. ___ Baylor professor named editor. Nikolas Gvosdev, associate director of Baylor University's J.M. Dawson Institute of Church-State Studies, has been named executive editor of The National Interest, a Washington, D.C.-based journal devoted to American foreign policy and world politics. Gvodsev will take a one-year leave of absence from Baylor to edit the journal.
___ Truett graduates three. Summer commencement ceremonies at Baylor University included three master of divinity graduates from Truett Theological Seminary: Ethan Bryant of Springfield, Mo.; Laura Ann Cadena of Dallas; and Hyae-Eun Grace Cha of Daejon, South Korea.
___ Baylor adds religion faculty. Baylor University's religion department has added two faculty members. Joel Burnett, assistant professor of religion, came from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C. He is a graduate of Wofford College, Princeton Theological Seminary and Johns Hopkins University. Thomas Brisco, also named a professor of religion, has been associate professor of biblical backgrounds and archaeology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth since 1980. He is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and Southwestern Seminary.
