___ Westside Church in Mineral Wells will hold a homecoming celebration Aug. 17-19. Singing on Friday will begin at 7 p.m. The Promise Seekers will sing on Saturday at 6 p.m. A lunch will follow Sunday morning services. The afternoon also will include more singing and testimonies.
___ Reid's Prairie Church in Waller will hold homecoming services Aug. 26. There will be a memorial service and an afternoon of food and singing. Larry Burkhalter is pastor.

___Deaths
___ Lottie Griffith, 93, July 12. She was the wife of Texas pastor George Griffith. They served churches in Bellville, Houston, Falfurrias, Orange, Liberty Hill, Bishop and Vidor. She was a member of First Church in Riesel. She was preceded in death by her husband and four young sons. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Smith, Lottie Holland and Elizabeth Brisby; sons, George and Michael; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Riquelmy.
