Two Baylor graduates on trial for faith
___WACO--Two American women jailed in Afghanistan last month on charges of preaching Christianity are Baylor University graduates, according to press reports and a statement from the university.
___The Dallas Morning News reported that Dayna Curry, 29, and Heather Mercer, 24, were among the group of eight foreign aid workers placed on trial last week in the country ruled by fundamentalist Muslims.

Campbell to be nominated for president

___SUGAR LAND--Bob Campbell, a Houston pastor and veteran denominational leader, will be nominated as president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas when it meets in Dallas Oct. 29-30.
___Phil Lineberger, pastor of Williams Trace Baptist Church in Sugar Land and a former BGCT president, announced Campbell's nomination last week.
