___ VBS finds a way. Having no building was no problem for Shepherd's Fellowship, a new Baptist church in Boerne. The congregation meets each Sunday at a local elementary school for services, so Vacation Bible School was held in the backyard and rain barn of a church member's home. Every member of the church turned out to help in the VBS, leading to a ratio of 21 workers to 22 children. In addition to Bible studies and crafts, the rural setting also allowed for treks through the countryside. "No church building could have added anything to the experience," member Mary Graves said. "Before VBS was over, there was talk of doing the same thing next year. This was a Vacation Bible School as it was meant to be--fun, fresh and fulfilling."
