Three Texans appointed by IMB
___ Three Texans were among the 35 people recently appointed as missionaries by the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
___ Lisa LeBlanc of Watauga will serve as the educational consultant and singles ministry leader for eastern South America. She will help mothers plan for homeschooling, administer annual exams and conduct educational workshops. In addition, she will minister to the spiritual, emotional and medical needs of single missionaries. She previously served in East Africa with the International Service Corps. Since 1996, she has been a teacher in North Carolina and Texas schools. She is a member of Prestonwood Church in Plano. She also considers First Church in Carrollton to be an influential church in her life.
___ Matt and Penni Hudson will serve in Portugal developing strategies for facilitating a church-planting movement there. He will mobilize prayer support and volunteer groups from the United States, Europe and Brazil, while she will participate in evangelism and discipleship. Since 1992, he has been pastor of Greenwood Church in Weatherford. They also consider First Church in Friona to be influential in their lives. They have two children, Matthew and Haden.
