| Roland Ouelette, pastor of East Sherman Church in Sherman, and a crew of volunteers that have been serving together for 23 years recently joined together to help construct a new sanctuary for Ambrose Church in Ambrose. The team consists primarily of retired men. One man is 81 years old. Some had never worked construction until joining the team. The Ambrose project saw many local men come out and help with the building, which made the project more special, Ouelette said. The frame was erected, the roof tied in to the existing buildings, decking applied and siding installed all in one week. Prayers are now being said for other crews to do sheet rock and trim work. |
