Child care unit debuts.
___The new Texas Baptist Men child-care unit for disaster relief was put into service for the first time last week in Corpus Christi, where volunteers assisted after tornadoes hit the city. Peggy Melton and Lynda Watson of Kilgore and Vernon and Blanca Fowler of Cleveland staffed the child-care facility at Corpus Christi Baptist Church, where the American Red Cross established a processing center. Another Texas Baptist Men unit prepared 12,000 meals in eight days at another location.
