17 with Texas ties tapped for IMB service
___Seventeen people with Texas ties were among 95 people appointed as missionaries by the International Mission Board Nov. 3 at Prestonwood Church in Plano.
___Danny and Ginger Caldwell will live in Uruguay, where he will serve in sports evangelism and she will conduct outreach through church and home. In addition, they will lead Bible studies and disciple new believers. He was previously youth minister and pastor of First Church in Burton. Other churches they consider influential in their spiritual lives are Hyde Park Church in Austin and Grace Fellowship Church in Brenham.
___Don and Paula Cribbs will return to Uganda, where they recently completed serving two years with the International Service Corps, a missions program through the IMB. He will create strategies for reaching an unreached people group with the gospel, and she will conduct outreach through the home and church. He formerly was minister to students at Tolar Church in Tolar and at North Cleburne Church in Cleburne.
___Rod and Penny Frizzell will return to Uganda, where they recently completed serving with the International Service Corps. He will be a Bible school consultant at Uganda Baptist Seminary, and she will do outreach through home and church and use her nursing training. He previously was minister of music and youth at First Church in Wheeler and Texoma Church in Kingston.
___Travis and Charity Jones will return to Tanzania, where they had served with the International Service Corps. They will minister among university students in Dar es Salaam. They consider First Church in Forney as influential in their lives.
___David and Krista Ruark will serve in Wales. He will serve as a community outreach minister, while she conducts outreach through the church and home. They also will work with children and youth. He previously was pastor of Greenwood Church in Greenwood. They also consider Bethel Church in Nocona and First Church in Burleson as influential in their lives.
___Byron and Natalie Talbot will minister to students in Moscow. He previously was associate pastor of La Iglesia Betel and ministry associate for Cornerstone Community Center, both in Fort Worth. They are members of University Church in Fort Worth.
___Alethea Thomas will minister among university students in Russia, teaching English as a second language. She previously served in North Africa and the Middle East, and East Asia with the International Service Corps. She is a member of Highland Church in Waco. Green Acres Church in Tyler and Highland Church in Denton also have been influential in her life.
___Freddie and Melissa Wagner will minister among university students in Venezuela. They consider Pioneer Drive Church in Abilene as influential in their lives. Born in Abilene, he has taught children of missionaries for the IMB since 1997, while she has served on the staff of the IMB in Richmond.
___Terry and Sheila Wilbanks will minister among university students in France. They consider First Church in Euless as influential in their spiritual growth. Born in North Richland Hills, he previously served as a Journeyman missionary in Scotland, while she previously was a missionary with the North American Mission Board.
