HSU COMPLETES HABITAT HOUSE. Hardin-Simmons University's Habitat for Humanity chapter has completed its first project. The house on Westwood Street in Abilene was dedicated Nov. 23, and the keys were handed over to the new homeowner, Tammika Baldwin. Work began on the house last spring and involved 100 students over the spring and summer months. In addition to the students who individually volunteered, the girls' basketball team and several members of campus sororities gave time to the project (right). At left, homeowner Baldwin (center) and her daughters are shown with Rebekah Wagley, Abilene Habitat for Humanity project coordinator, and Bill Tillman, HSU Habitat chapter project coordinator.
