___ DBU offers Christmas music. Dallas Baptist University will present its 2002 Christmas Festival, "We Celebrate His Coming!" Dec. 6 and 7. Performances will be held in the Burg Special Events Center on the DBU campus beginning 7 p.m. each evening. The concert program will include traditional carols and new ones performed by the Chorale, Chamber Singers and Consort Singers, University Ringers and Festival Orchestra. Tickets are $5 and $8 and may be purchased by calling (214) 333-5285.

___ Mission organization to dedicate facility. International Commission, formerly International Crusades, will open a new headquarters facility Dec 6, with an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A dedication service is scheduled for 11 a.m. The building is located at 260 W. Continental Drive in Lewisville. International Commission works with Baptist conventions and churches around the world to conduct church-to-church partnership evangelism projects. Ben Mieth founded the ministry in West Texas in 1973. Since then, more than 10,000 overseas churches have received teams, and more than 30,000 volunteers have worked on mission projects. The ministry has 95 projects scheduled in 2003.
___ Wake Up Waco results updated. About 350 people made faith professions in Jesus Christ during Wake Up Waco, an evangelistic outreach sponsored by the Waco Baptist Association in conjunction with the Baptist General Convention of Texas annual session. Volunteers from 41 churches distributed 20,000 tracts, 3,200 New Testaments and 500 "Jesus" videos through various activities, including block parties and inner-city evangelism teams.
___ Hispanic youth leader summit held. Hispanic Baptist Theological School in San Antonio sponsored a Hispanic Youth Leadership Summit Nov. 15-16 in cooperation with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston. The event drew 140 people to the school's campus for seminars, worship and keynote addresses by prominent Hispanic Baptist leaders. Three youth made public commitments to vocational ministry at the summit.
___ Chrisman to aid Baylor alumni. Os Chrisman of Dallas has been named interim executive vice president of the Baylor Alumni Association. A retired district court judge, Chrisman currently serves as an arbitrator and mediator for Judicial Arbitration Mediation Services and teaches at Dallas Baptist University. He is a member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas.
