___ FamilyNet wins radio award. Three FamilyNet original radio programs produced by the North American Mission Board's broadcast unit in Fort Worth won recognition in the 2001 Communicator Awards, and FamilyNet's radio advertising campaign won an award in the print competition. The prestigious Award of Excellence was given to FamilyNet's "On Track" radio program, "At a Glance" radio spots and "Quality Radio through the Years" print campaign. The Award of Distinction was given to FamilyNet's "Country Crossroads" program.
___ Texans appointed. Lita and Rick Sample of Houston are among six new career missionaries approved for appointment by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in February. The Samples will minister to internationals in the East Bay area of California.
