___ Disaster training offered. Texas Baptist Men will offer a statewide disaster relief volunteer training event at Latham Springs Baptist Encampment March 16. Basic hands-on training for new disaster relief volunteers will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Specialized training in water purification, child care, Ham radio communications, chainsaw operation and "mud-out" procedures will be offered for volunteers who already have completed basic training. The night before, at 7 p.m., both new and experienced volunteers are invited to a specialized seminar on response to terrorism and bio-nuclear warfare. ___ UMHB presents "The Mikado." The School of Fine Arts at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will present the comic opera "The Mikado" April 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. in Hughes Recital Hall. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for students and $6 for senior citizens. Alumni night is April 13, and alumni may reserve tickets in advance for $6 through the alumni office. ___ Hillcrest receives grant. Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center has received a $30,000 grant from the Waco Foundation to purchase a Leisengang Colposcope, a tool used for evidence collection from sexual assault victims.
