___ Merritt names resolutions committee. Southern Baptist Convention President James Merritt has named 10 members to the convention's resolutions committee as required by SBC bylaws. The committee will function during the SBC annual meeting in St. Louis June 11-12. Frank Harber, pastor of First Baptist Church of Colleyville and former professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, will chair the committee. Other members are Melissa Gay, a layperson from First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, Tenn.; Michael Hamlet, pastor of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, S.C.; Marty Odom, a layperson from Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City; Maynard Green, a layperson from First Baptist Church of Hewitt; David Kitchens, pastor of Carolyn Baptist Church of Dalton, Ga.; Russell Moore, professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky.; Roberto Santos, pastor of Philippine International Baptist Church of Dearborn, Mich.; Steven Smith, pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Richmond, Va.; Sam Williams, a professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and member of North Wake Baptist Church in Wake Forest, N.C.
