Texans still pray, give & go through IMB.Despite political and theological differences between the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Southern Baptist Convention, many Texas Baptist churches still strongly support the SBC's International Mission Board. In the first half of this year, the BGCT forwarded more than $3 million in church-directed gifts to the IMB through the Cooperative Program. Also, at a May missionary appointment service, the IMB sent out six more Texas Baptists to worldwide ministry, including Lance and Sarah Cypert of First Baptist Church of Quitaque. Bill Bangham/BP
