Two Texans among new CBF national officers
___FORT WORTH--Texans account for two of the three 2002-03 officers of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

or of education for the National Association of Church Business Administration, became moderator--the top elected position--at the end of this year's CBF general assembly in Fort Worth June 29. Martin, a member of Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, was chosen moderator-elect at last year's general assembly in Atlanta.
___Paul Kenley, pastor of First Baptist Church in Lampasas, was elected to a third consecutive one-year term as recorder.
___The new moderator-elect is Cynthia Holmes, of Clayton, Mo. She is an attorney and member of Overland Baptist Church in St. Louis.
___In a business session, CBF participants approved a 2002-03 missions and ministries budget of $19.3 million, a 7 percent increase over the current budget.
___Global missions will receive the lion's share of the new budget. The Fellowship plans to spend $11.25 million, or
58.3 percent of the budget, on missions.
___Other expenses include faith formation, $673,687 (3.5 percent of the total); building community and networking, $1.2 million (6.3 percent); leadership development, $2.4 million (12.3 percent); communications and marketing, $1 million (5.3 percent); general assembly, $363,457 (1.9 percent) and administration, $2.4 million (12.4 percent).
___Undesignated receipts are expected to provide the largest portion of revenue for the new budget. Those contributions are slated to total $10.1 million, or 52.6 percent of the budget.
___Other revenue sources include the Global Missions Offering, $6.1 million (or 31.6 percent of the total); designated gifts, $2 million ((10.3 percent); investment and interest income, $875,000 (4.5 percent); and resource income, $175,000 (1 percent).
___A steering committee comprised primarily of Texans planned the Fort Worth general assembly. Texans on the committee were:
