Texas students take a ride on camels in a region that cannot be identified for security reasons. Aaron Clayton, a student at Dallas Baptist University, discusses Scripture passages with a man in Asia as they share a boat ride. Clayton and a team of other Texas Baptist students participated in a cultural exchange program this summer. They were among 289 students sent out through the Baptist General Convention of Texas student missions program, funded in part by gifts to the BGCT Cooperative Program. One of the student summer missions teams sent out this year by the Baptist General Convention of Texas also was a baseball team. Dubbed ÒTeam Texas,Ó the 11 students from various schools conducted baseball clinics in the parks of Madrid, Spain. They focused on reaching the immigrant population of Madrid with the gospel, using baseball as a means to gain a hearing. Troy Watson, a recent graduate of Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi , helps a child learn how to use a baseball glove.
