___ The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor has added 15 new faculty members. The School of Business has added visiting professors Danny Taylor and Nadine Field, as well as instructor Donna Teel. Michelle Schumann is a fine arts instructor. Joining the nursing faculty are Glenda Bush and Bobbie Dixon. New faculty in humanities and sciences are Arch Koontz, biology; David Holcomb, history; William Carrell, religion; and Christina Ballard, psychology and counseling. New in education school are Shirley Dahl, education and Elizabeth Finch, Richard Grimes and Jamey Plunk, all in exercise and sports science. Health services management has added associate professor Mary Anne Svetlik.

Almost 170 children, about two-thirds of the community's elementary-age residents, attended at least one day, with a high attendance of 106. h in Pasadena will hold a special service Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. The evening will begin with the video testimony of several New York City firemen and include the testimony of others and how their lives have changed since Sept. 11, 2001. The service also will include a look to the future with songs of faith acknowledging God's strength and encouragement to face the future. Patriotic numbers by the choir and orchestra also will be included under the direction of Minister of Music Jimmy Herweck. Children also will be featured prominently in the service. ___ Gambrell Street Church in Fort Worth is hosting "A Week of Hope ... For Living in the Real World" Sept. 11-15. Worship services will address the Christian response to evil, crisis and uncertainty--hope in Christ. ___ Bill Morgan, 73, Aug. 4 in Beaumont. He was a pastor for 48 years to 11 Texas churches, including 20 years as pastor of Jersey Village Church in Houston. He was pastor of Meeker Church in Beaumont at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Jo; sons, Montie and James; daughter, Jo Beth Perkins; brother, Douglas; and four grandchildren.
___ J.D. McDonald, 80, Aug. 12. He was pastor emeritus at Huckaby Church in Stephenville. He was a pastor in Texas and New Mexico for more than 40 years. He was on the Executive Board of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann; son, Jim; daughters, Bonnie Roddy, Carolyn Holmes and Shirley McDonald; sisters, Weita Mae Brown and Alta Faye Hart; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
___ Lisa St. John, 29, Aug. 14 of cancer. Her husband is minister of education and youth at Eisenhauer Road Church in San Antonio, and her father is pastor of First Church in Harlingen. She is survived by her husband, Mathew; sons, Brady, Christopher and Kyle; parents, Donald and Sue Higginbotham; sister, Donna Sue; and brother, Blake.
