___ 9/11 missions video available. A new video, "Radical Obedience," shows Southern Baptists around the world responding to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Produced by the Southern Baptist Convention's International Mission Board, the video may be used in segments or in one session. The videotape costs $5 and is available by calling (800) 866-3621 or by visiting http://resources.imb.org.
___ LifeWay and Texas church team up. LifeWay Christian Resources and Fellowship Church in Grapevine will jointly develop resources for church leaders and laypeople. The partnership will become part of LifeWay's New Ventures initiative to develop alliances with influential churches and authors, said Gene Mims, vice president of LifeWay's church resources division. LifeWay will use resources developed by Fellowship Church to develop Bible study curriculum, children's programs, software, worship service planning elements and other resources for churches.
___ VBS plot uncovered. Vacation Bible School curriculum produced by LifeWay Christian Resources for use next summer will be oriented around the theme "The Great Kingdom Caper--Cracking the Character Code." "Sleuths and inspectors will be on special assignment to discover how compassion and kindness, humility and gentleness, patience and endurance, forgiveness and love are vital to the Christian life," said Rob Sanders, VBS editor-in-chief in LifeWay's childhood ministry publishing section.
___ Bradley dies. Martin Bradley, a former recording secretary of the Southern Baptist Convention, died Aug. 26 from cancer. He was 75. For 38 years, Bradley worked for the Southern Baptist Sunday School Board. When he retired in 1992, Bradley was manager of research services and long-range planning.
