___ FamilyNet wins Tellys. FamilyNet, a broadcast ministry of the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board, won 13 Telly Awards in this year's judging. The Tellys recognize outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials, film and video productions. Eight FamilyNet programs received Bronze Telly Awards, and five programs earned the top honor, a Silver Telly Award. Among the programs honored were "At Home-Live," "The Rose," "True Love Waits Rally" "TruthQuest: California," "The Call," "This Child" and "Your Health."
___ SBC to offer on-line registration. Messengers to this June's Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting will be able to register on-line beginning next month. Churches may register their messengers at www.sbc.net. Those registered on-line will receive messenger reference numbers to be presented at the SBC registration booth in exchange for a nametag and ballot. On-line registration will begin March 1 and be open through June 8. A church official must do the registration work on-line and will be required to know certain specific information to validate the entry.
___ SBC restores Wednesday evening session. The June 17-18 annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention will restore a final Wednesday evening session. The Wednesday afternoon slot will return to an open period for seminary luncheons. The closing session this year in Phoenix will feature an International Mission Board presentation and a message by motivational speaker Zig Ziglar of Dallas. "Kingdom First" will be the theme of this year's convention.
