___ Red Frye is the new administrator of Big Country Baptist Assembly, near Lueders. Frye had been operations manager of Latham Springs Baptist Encampment the last five years. Big Country Assembly is owned by Abilene, Callahan, Cisco, Haskell-Knox, Sweetwater and West-Central Baptist associations.
___Death
___ Clarence McCord, 68, April 17 in Carter's Creek, Miss. He and his wife, Jean, were appointed by the International Mission Board in 1985. A mass communications specialist, McCord worked in broadcast media coordination for Southern Baptist missionaries in Hong Kong. Prior to his missionary service; he had worked as a television producer and as an assistant professor at Howard Payne University. He also was pastor of churches in Georgia and Michigan. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Mena Forester, Karolyn McCord and Miriam McCord; son, Paul; and three grandchildren.
