Obituary: Henry Adrion III

Henry Adrion III, 78, Nov. 25 in Hilltop Lakes near Normangee. A graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he was a minister more than 50 years. henry adrion130Henry Adrion IIIHe was pastor of Elm Grove Baptist Church in Waelder, Muldoon Baptist Church in Muldoon, First Baptist Church in Eagle Lake, Bethel Baptist Church in Houston, Polytechnic Baptist Church in Fort Worth, University Baptist Church in Clear Lake and First Baptist Church in Texas City. In addition, he was director of church services for the Baptist General Convention of Texas from 1983 to 1994. After retiring, he served many Central Texas churches as interim pastor. He served on the Southern Baptist Brotherhood Commission, the BGCT Christian Education Coordinating Board, and the BGCT Executive Board. He was a trustee for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 16 years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat; daughters, Michele Halliburton and Monica Manning; son, Mark; and eight grandchildren.
