Hello, Texas Baptists! I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for. I am especially grateful this season, because of the birth of Anne Marie Hardage, Kathleen’s and my first grandchild. She was born at Baylor Hospital Nov. 29. Thanks to all of the doctors and nurses who helped make that day so special for our family.
Dallas Baptist University Nov. 25. Bob Buford, founder of Halftime and previous CEO of Buford Television, was the deserving recipient. I had the privilege of worshipping at Gospel Light Eritrean Baptist Church in Dallas Dec. 1. Thanks to Pastor Solomon Beraki and his congregation for the wonderful Sunday morning.
BGCT Day at Houston Baptist University took place Dec. 4. Steve Vernon, associate executive director; Bill Tillman, director of theological education; and I were able to be part of that day. We were grateful to meet so many brilliant faculty members and students. Thanks to President Robert Sloan for his time and hospitality.
