Baptists Preaching is a column from the Baptist Standard. It is not an effort to advance any one theology or style but to present what a collection of Baptists considers a word from God. Likewise, Baptists Preaching offers a repository of Baptist preaching for future study and research. To recommend a sermon to be featured in Baptists Preaching, please contact [email protected].

Scott Sharman: But Be Transformed (Romans 12:1-2)

Scott Sharman, senior pastor of Alsbury Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas, explains what it means to be a living sacrifice and Paul’s challenge to surrender daily to God’s transforming work. Sharman follows by asking who and what are forming us, calling his hearers to be formed by God. He concludes with four life commitments a person can make to be guided by God rather than the world and so be transformed. To listen to the audio for this sermon, click here.
