This is the Day

By Tim Tebow with A.J. Gregory (Waterbrook)

Tim Tebow was a Heisman Award-winning two-time collegiate national champion as a quarterback. He also is a committed Christian and the author of the book Shaken, the 2017 Book of the Year by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association and a New York Times bestseller.

Tebow’s premise in This is the Day is just what its title suggests. For instance, “This is the day I overcome a bad habit or character flaw” and “This is the day you can see what God sees.”

Tebow transitioned from football to baseball and working as a commentator for ESPN. He created the Tim Tebow Foundation  to provide faith, hope and love for people who need “a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.” He wants to use his football career and his baseball career as a platform to make a difference. He states, “More than getting to the majors, I want to be a believer—a believer, first and foremost, in God.”

At the end of the day, Tebow invites the reader to pray “the sinner’s prayer” and make a commitment to Jesus as Savior and Lord. He asks the reader, “Have you accepted the free gift of a hope-filled life?”

This is a wonderful book that makes readers think and grow at the same time. For the nonbeliever, it’s a great sports book with a salvation message. Enjoy!
