Around the State: IMB training set

An International Mission Board event, Partner Connect Training, will be held Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Henderson. The event is for anyone imb connect rev300interested in reaching unreached, unengaged people groups in Central and South America. Registration is $25 before Oct. 18 and includes lunch. Jason Caillier has joined the Dallas Baptist University faculty as assistant professor of Christian education. He has been minister of students at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena the last five years.

Anniversary

Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple, 100th, Aug. 25. A celebration service and marker dedication will be held at 1 p.m. Numerous former pastors and staff members will be in attendance. Ron Milne is pastor.

First Baptist Church in Warren, 125th, Sept. 28-29. Saturday’s events will begin at 2 p.m. with a program with former pastors and musicians. In addition to a reading of the church history, the program includes an open house and tours, and ministry and history displays will be featured. A fish fry will be held at 5 p.m. David Hardage, executive director of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, will speak in the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service. A barbecue lunch will follow.
