Around the State: HPU sorority gets top award

Howard Payne University’s Delta Upsilon sorority was named the top Tau Beta Sigma chapter in the nation.

Howard Payne University’s Delta Upsilon chapter of the national Tau Beta Sigma sorority received the Grace and A. Frank Martin Outstanding Chapter Award, marking it as the top chapter in the nation.

Buckner Children and Family Services will present a free foster-care and adoption information meeting Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at 5200 Buckner Blvd. in Dallas in the Calabria Building. Participants will receive an overview of foster care and adoption options in Texas, including foster-to-adopt, Waiting Texas Children, and domestic infant adoption and international adoption programs. BCFS, formerly Baptist Child & Family Services, named Regina Woolridge executive director of human resources. She will oversee payroll, benefits, tax reporting and governmental compliance.

Anniversary
