NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Singer/songwriter Josh Wilson desires to help families reflect on the real meaning of the Christmas season through a unique musical experience.

During his December concerts, Wilson showcases his musical talents while playing 24 instruments, including banjo, mandolin, ukulele, glockenspiel, guitar and piano.

By adding a modern approach and updated style, Wilson hopes audiences will find new meaning in Christmas classics as he shares songs from his album, Noel.

“When people hear the familiar songs, I hope the new arrangements will spark the wonder that we felt as kids during the holiday season and the amazement of the first time that we heard those songs,” Wilson said. “I hope that it helps people reflect on the magnitude and majesty of what Christmas means.”

More than an evening of entertainment, his concerts also help raise awareness for mission organizations. At each venue, coffee will be sold to support Three Avocados, a nonprofit organization that provides clean water in Uganda.

Wilson will perform Dec. 8 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Houston and Dec. 11 at Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Through his music and message, Wilson hopes people are inspired to act.

“We’re so giving and generous during the holidays, looking for ways to reach out to our community and the homeless,” Wilson said.

“My prayer is that we will take that spirit and express it year-round, so we can impact our communities while being the hands and feet of Christ to a broken world.”
