Obituaries: Bill Foster Jr., B. J. Hart

Bill Foster Jr., 87, July 24 in San Antonio. A graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he was pastor of South Elm Baptist Church in Cameron, First Baptist Church in Purdon, Bill Foster Jr.First Baptist Church in Coolidge, First Baptist Church in Kerns, Fernwood Baptist Church in Dallas, Southern Crest Baptist Church in Dallas and Speegleville Baptist Church in Waco, as well as assistant pastor at Wynnewood Baptist Church in Dallas. He also served as a missionary in Korea, Venezuela and Belize. After retiring in San Antonio, he played piano and sang at nursing homes. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris; son, Preston; daughter, Becky Clanton; sister, Betty Lou Schroeder; and six grandchildren.

B.J. Hart, 88, July 22 in Hudson Oaks. A man devoted to God, he retired from Chevron Pipeline Company after 39 years.bj hart95B.J. Hart His devotion to furthering the work of Baptists evidenced itself in his commitment to building needed facilities. He was involved in the birth of a church builders group originating in Snyder. He helped build more than 30 church sanctuaries and many other Baptist facilities. He served his church, Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church in Hudson Oaks, as a deacon and deacon emeritus. He also served on the Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He is survived by his wife, Dot; daughters Debra Albrecht, Marcia Hart and Sherri Neff; four grandchildren; and six great-grandsons.
