Irby Cox, 98, Nov. 19 in Grand Prairie. A graduate of Howard Payne University, he served several churches as minister of music and education. Irby CoxHe served 24 years as director of church services for Dallas Baptist Association, and he was registration secretary for the Baptist General Convention of Texas 35 years. He also was an amateur inventor and a beekeeper who produced his own honey. He is survived by his wife of almost 74 years, Margaret; sons, John and Irby; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
