Obituary: Lee Walker

Lee Walker, 83, Sept. 5 in Baytown. Of the 57 years of his ministry, 51 were spent in the Houston area. Lee WalkerAfter serving churches throughout Texas in music and education ministries, he served San Jacinto Baptist Association as associate director of missions from 1977 to 1989. He became director of missions for the association in 1989, serving until his retirement in 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; daughter, Lisa Zerbas; and grandson, Kris Buchanan. He is survived by his wife, Lillie; son, Lee Jr.; daughter, Lynn Buchanan; step-son, Gary Lockhart; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
