Texas Tidbits: Wayland online courses score high

Wayland Baptist University was named No. 12 on OnlineU’s list of most affordable colleges and universities for religious studies. OnlineU is an organization that ranks online universities based solely on affordability to enable prospective students to make informed choices about their college education. Wayland’s School of Religion and Philosophy offers three online degrees through the university’s virtual campus. Students can earn a bachelor of Christian ministry, master of Christian ministry or master of divinity degree online.

Baylor and Tyler Junior College enter partnership. Baylor University and Tyler Junior College have created a Baylor Bound program that will help students transfer more easily between the two institutions and continue to expand educational opportunities for young people across Texas. As one of its goals under the Pro Futuris strategic initiative, Baylor intends to create 10 Baylor Bound partnerships with strong Texas community colleges over the next five years. The university signed its first Baylor Bound agreement last fall with McLennan Community College in Waco.
