Missionary and daughter launch clothing line produced by refugees

Nell Green (right), a Houston-based field worker with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and her daughter, Christen Kinard, are launching Threads by Nomad—a business that pays refugees well to create fashionable clothing using fabric from around the world.

Some missionaries translate the Bible into exotic languages, hold revivals on faraway continents or provide medical care and food for earthquake victims. Then there are missionaries who launch and run businesses designed to make a positive difference in the world. Nell Green, Texas-based field personnel with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, has become one of the latter.
