Prayer partners sought for collegiate missionaries

Go Now Missions, the college student missions program of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, is seeking prayer partners for young people who are considering going to the mission field.

As part of the P3 initiative—powerful partners in prayer—each volunteer prayer partner will be given one available position to pray for daily, making sure every potential missionary role is covered in prayer.

Each prayer partner will receive a short description of the ministry position, the number of students needed and other details.

The effort leads up to the Go Now Missions spring discovery weekend, Feb. 15-17, when students are appointed to assignments.

Go Now Missions has 66 places to which students will be appointed at the discovery weekend, and the program hopes to appoint 400 Go Now Missionaries in 2013. Participants in the P3 initiative will be encouraged to stop each day at 3 p.m. to pray.

Prayer partners will receive a daily prayer reminder, either by email, social media, text message or printed copy.
