In Touch: Deacons, motorcycles and a leadership summit

It was a blessing to spend time with the deacons of my church, Lakeside Baptist, for their deacons’ banquet. My prayers are with Pastor Jeff Donnell and those serving as deacons as they seek the Lord in their ministry in Dallas.

hardage david130David HardageI had the privilege of worshipping at the exciting Singing Hills Baptist Church in Dallas. Thanks to Pastor Howard E. Anderson Sr. for allowing me the opportunity to spend the morning with his great church.

I had another wonderful Sunday morning at First Baptist Church of Oglesby. It was a great time of worship.

Darrell Price is the new director of Central Texas Hospitality House in Gatesville. The facility is opening for overnight guests. Please be in prayer for Darrell and his wife, Lou Ann, as they embark on this new journey.

Texas Baptists, along with Golden Triangle Baptist Network, Galveston Baptist Association  and Trinity River Baptist Association are sponsoring the Lone Star Motorcycle Rally. This rally will take place on Galveston Island Nov. 6-9. For more information, please contact Jim Hamilton, director of missions of Golden Triangle Baptist Network.

Saturday, Nov. 15 is the Country Church Leadership Summit. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Truett Seminary. I hope you will take time to be there.

texas baptist voices right120The BGCT Christmas Open House is Thursday, Dec. 11. It will be come-and-go from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Please come and celebrate the season with us. We would love to have you! RSVP to Elizabeth Biedrzycki.
