Hello, Texas Baptists. I enjoyed being with Pastor Scott Higginbotham and Lexington Baptist Church in Corpus Christi recently. Their mission is to lead people to passionately pursue God’s will for their lives.

I also was happy to speak to our directors of associational missions during a team meeting at Mount Lebanon Baptist Encampment. It was a great time of fellowship.

Just a reminder: Counseling Services is here to assist our Texas Baptists with counseling resources. Please watch this video for a personal story of depression we’d like to share with you.

Our annual Chaplaincy Training Conference occurred recently in Waxahachie. This enriching event was packed with information that offered our chaplains continuing education units for each unique area of concentration.

North Texas Giving Day was Sept. 17.

texas baptist voices right120We are excited for the new Project: Start initiative that will help refugees in Vickery Meadow, a community in North Dallas. As we turn our attention to the refugee crisis overseas, we may be overlooking those who already are here in our own state. We have a tremendous opportunity to help them and prepare for those yet to come. This moving video provides a glimpse into the lives of those we aim to serve.
