Hello, Texas Baptists! I attended groundbreaking ceremonies for the Baptist Student Ministries building at the University of North Texas in Denton. It was a big day for this BSM. Please keep them and this building project in your prayers as they move forward.

Carroll, a Texas Baptist leader in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. That evening, we also attended the Houston Baptist University Spirit of Excellence Gala. Both the B.H. Carroll Theological Institute and HBU are doing great things for the kingdom.

I have had the privilege of attending two recent church anniversary celebrations. Anderson Baptist Church  in Anderson celebrated its 170th anniversary. And Gambrell Street Baptist Church in Fort Worth began a yearlong celebration leading up to its 100th anniversary. These historic churches are thriving and continuing to leave a strong legacy.

I was blessed to be part of a religion panel event for the Gents of Texas A&M, with several religions represented.

Another successful BGCT annual meeting took place Nov. 16-18. These days were full of excitement, love and motivation for the future. Thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, messengers and guests who made this year’s annual meeting a success!

Texas Baptists are blessed by the churches we serve. We love you all.
