In Touch: Visiting three great churches

Hello, Texas Baptists. I had the privilege of visiting three great churches in the past few weeks. I was at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving one morning and then First Baptist Church of Decatur that evening. The next Sunday, I worshipped at Cedar Cross Country Church in Alvarado. It was a blessing to spend time with all three congregations.

The Baptist General Convention of Texas Committee on Convention Business met and is doing a marvelous job preparing for this year’s annual meeting in Frisco. I hope you are able to join us Nov. 8-11. It is going to be a great event.

March 29, I attended The Gathering Waco. If you also were able to attend, I know you were thoroughly blessed. It was exciting to see Baylor University’s McLane Stadium filled with roughly 35,000 people from across the state worshipping together.

If you are looking for a summer mission trip, please take note of our disaster recovery opportunities. There will be trips to Eagle Pass and Galveston, aiding families without funds to help repair their damaged homes. Click here to learn more.

As we walk in the light of Easter, may the hope of Christ’s resurrection be ever-present in your heart and mind.
