In Touch: Worship in Waco

I had the privilege of worshipping at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Waco. I loved getting to spend time with and worship alongside that congregation. I am praying for them as they continue to seek the Lord in serving the Waco community.

hardage david130David HardageI traveled to T Bar M for the Texas Baptist Educators Retreat. A wonderful group of speakers and vendors were present. Thanks to David Adams, discipleship specialist, and his work in putting this together.

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor allowed me the honor of speaking to and praying over their summer missionaries in chapel. George Loutherback, university chaplain, is serving that school wonderfully, and I was glad to spend time with him that afternoon.

Kathleen and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday morning at Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas. Pastor Brent McDougal is faithfully leading that congregation, and I am blessed to call him a friend.

A total of 998 children and youth from 134 churches in 48 associations registered for one of six regional Bible Drill competitions sponsored by our Bible study/discipleship team during April. The state final for students in grades 7-12 took place May 2-3 at your Baptist Building. Congratulate a driller or speaker in your church for a job well done learning God’s word. Bike Out Hunger took place last week. These cyclists completed their 425-mile ride on Mother’s Day to highlight the special Texas Baptist Hunger Offering taken on Mother’s Day. Bike Out Hunger and this special Mother’s Day offering are building funds and awareness around the state to help fight hunger and poverty globally.
