Jeane Law: ‘An example to us all’

I have known Jeane Law all of my years at First Baptist Church in Lubbock.

My family moved to Lubbock in 1954. I was 5 years old. No, I was not involved with Jeane until several years later.

As I grew older she always offered me such sound advice—both in being a strong church member and also in my personal life. She never failed to listen and be concerned. She always had sound and loving thoughts that made me make strong Christian decisions.

I also was in her evening Bible study group. What a joy those evenings were. Even though it was a challenge to attend sometimes after a day of teaching school, I always received a blessing beyond measure.

Yes, Jeane, was a true Southern Baptist lady, and an example to us all.
