The Mormon Church is now part of the “mainstream.”

They recently discussed their founder’s many wives. Joseph Smith had at least 40 wives. One was 14 years old, and several of them were married. Can you imagine what women and girls went through back then?

We must not forget that the Mormon Church started out as a cult where some “special” men could have more than one wife.

Americans have the right to create their own religions, but that doesn’t mean that their religion is true.

People with pornography problem should seek help

Regarding “Ministry to trafficking victims near the heart of God, speakers insist”:  Just like the war on drugs, trying to stop the supply without stopping the demand is a very difficult, if not impossible task.

I like the focus mentioned in the article of helping people overcome pornography viewing to reduce demand. Pornography addiction seems to be a very tough one to beat. Twelve-step programs work for some but tend to have a high relapse rate.

Some newer programs, based upon true principles, seem to be helping many. The specific steps suggested by the book Power Over Pornography seem to work well for many, and those who follow the principles seem to have a lower relapse rate.

Those who have a pornography problem should seek help. They can’t overcome it on their own.
