Living in a fish bowl

I have had the interesting experience of being an American in an Asian country. Some days I feel like a fish. Other days I feel like a celebrity with paparazzi. Hardly ever do I feel like I completely fit in. But that is OK.

I do have to be careful. People are watching me everywhere I go. I have to pay more attention to my behavior and attitude than if I looked like an Asian. It is an interesting position to be in.  Hopefully I will learn from it.

Megan, a graduate of East Texas Baptist University, is serving in Southeast Asia with Go Now Missions. Her last name is withheld for security reasons.
