South Asia: The light of Jesus is spreading

One of the girls is ready to leave and begin her life away from Restoration House. The director found a job for her in the city. Pray that she will be strong.

She is very scared, and it is understandable. Her story is unbelievable, but she is redeemed, and someday soon she wants to go back to her village and start a church. It isn’t safe for her to go back right away because her alcoholic parents sold her to traffickers.

Our spiritual enemy is angry that the light of Jesus is spreading. One of the girls who accepted Jesus tells us the same spirit that afflicted her before she accepted Christ is bothering her now. We told her that at the name of Jesus, all demons have to flee. We are teaching her about sending these things to the feet of Jesus. All the enemy wants to do is inspire fear. We are not taking any of that, because we walk with the One who already has won!

We have reason to praise God. Another girl has joined the family! Five girls want to be baptized. Also, some girls approached me saying they want to learn the important stuff about the Bible, because they want to return to their area and start groups like our fellowships. Our fellowship is basically a house church, and when the girls return to their villages, they will be in the middle of an unreached people group. The Holy Spirit is moving.

Jessica, a student at the University of Texas in Austin, is serving with Go Now Missions in South Asia. Her last name is withheld for security reasons.
